Facade Technical Design, FTD provides building enclosure services developed by Katheryn Bajo, BExC CDT REWO to provide standards in accordance with the following industry standards: 


Passive House

FTD provides commissioning, consulting and engineering services for building commissioning certification in accordance with the the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC).  Several successive iterations of IECC (2003, 2006, 2009, and 2012) are currently available for adoption by states and local jurisdictions. Currently, the most widely adopted is the IECC 2009 version.


LEED Standards

FTD provides commissioning, consulting and engineering services for LEED certification in accordance with U.S. Green Building Council guidelines for sustainable  design and construction practices. FDT provides commissioning services in accordance with LEED EA Prerequisite 1 for Fundamental Building Systems  Commissioning and EA Credit 3 for Enhanced Commissioning.  


National Institute of  Building Science (NIBS) 

FTD provides commissioning, consulting and engineering services in accordance with the National Institute of  Building Science (NIBS) Guideline 3


Division 17 Section 17100 “General Commissioning Requirements”

FTD provides commissioning, consulting and engineering services for building commissioning in accordance with SECTION 01 91 15, COMMISSIONING OF BUILDING ENCLOSURE

The New York City Energy Conservation Code (NYCECC) is comprised of New York City local laws and the current Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State (ECCCNYS). By State law, all local government Energy Codes, including the NYCECC, must be more stringent than the ECCCNYS.
